Therapy in English

Psychotherapy in English in Ringsted and Roskilde

I offer online-sessions or face-to-face therapy in English,  just outside Ringsted and in downtown Roskilde.

Whether you are dealing with personal issues or challenges related to your cross-cultural situation, you are welcome to contact me.

I am a licensed therapist with extensive experience in working with people from different ethnic backgrounds and languages, and with a range of topics from grief and insecurity to anxiety, stress and trauma.

Experiences of discrimination and racism are important to work with, and I offer to accompany you in the healing of such wounds.

Therapy in English is for you, if you don’t feel comfortable in speaking in Danish.

Approach

My approach is gentle and I embrace you with kindness and understanding, because that is my personality. My experience is that sincere interest and connection can heal the shame of not being perfect.

I may include the body and possibly creative tools to help you feel and see more clearly who you are, what you need and what is important for you in your situation.

My approach is based in an psycho-organic, relational, existential and experiential psychotherapy, with inspiration from bodyoriented therapy, systemic and narrative therapy, naturebased therapy and Somatic Experiencing.

I am a member of the Danish Psychotherapist Association.

Please contact me for any further information, or follow the green booking-button on the top (Danish).

My clinic in Ringsted is situated in Hallingelille Ecovillage.

About me

I was born in 1975 to a Mexican mother and a Danish father. Since my early teen-years I have been actively working with the cross-cultural dimensions in my own life, around me and helping others with these issues. A long series of international peace-building camps, international studies, working with traumatized refugees and deepening my knowledge and practice into the fields of collective trauma.

I’m a trained and licensed psychotherapist in several degrees and have been practicing therapy since 2007.

My daily life takes place in Hallingelille Ecovillage where I live with my husband, our two teenagers and where we build and enjoy community with others.
